AUSTIN, TX — Music Box Events, an Austin-based social enterprise focused on music education, has launched the Rainbow Chord Presser for Ukulele, a color-coded clip-on device that lets beginners play ukulele chords instantly, without finger pain or prior experience.

The problem it solves: Learning chord shapes is the biggest barrier to a first-time player picking up a ukulele and sticking with it. The Rainbow Chord Presser removes that barrier: each of seven core chords (C, G, Am, F, Dm, G7, Em7) is mapped to a color, so a player matches color to color instead of learning finger positions from scratch.
